Exciting gaming reveals for handheld gamers

The year 2025 has been for the gaming industry so far, with amazing game releases and the launch of the new Nintendo Switch 2. The second half of the year is set to keep the momentum going! Here are some of the most exciting releases you should not miss out on:

Persona 4 Revival announced

Persona 4 Revival is Atlus’ second rerelease of the fan-favourite Persona 4 game, originally published in 2008 on the PlayStation 2. This is going to be a remake, which means creating the game from the ground up using new technology and assets. Just like Persona 4 Golden before it, Atlus promised that there is new content for it to give it a refreshing experience, Visit slot sites

Gameplay to be expected in Persona 4 Revival is based on Persona 3 Remake and Persona 5 Royal. There is an overworld dating sim, rogue-like dungeon-crawling, and Persona collecting. It also has a luck-based reward that gives resources and power-ups and evokes the same thrill you’d expect from claiming Bitcasino io free spins, though in a JRPG context.

This new game is quoted to be a ‘faithful reproduction of the original story’, so it’s unclear if it will have content from Persona 4 Golden. What’s sure is that it is built on Unreal Engine and will be compatible with PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Since it’s coming to Steam and Xbox, it is possible for Steam Deck compatibility.

Grounded 2 announced

Obsidian Entertainment released a strong entry earlier this year in Avowed, but this time, they announced Grounded 2. It is a sequel to Grounded (2022), a co-op survival adventure game featuring shrunken kids fighting off bugs while searching for ways to stay alive and return to normal size. The kids have grown up, still small, but are now ready to explore a bigger world.

The gameplay loop includes building your base, fighting off predatory bugs, or taming friendly bugs to gain an advantage. Follow objectives to explore the big neighbourhood and, eventually, find a way to return to normal size. The game will be released in July 2025, just several weeks from its surprise announcement in June.

Grounded 2 is keeping plenty of what made the first game so beloved, like mounts, craftable bases, and interactive environments. This time, they expand them by giving the players more class-like weaponry and new creature types. Grounded 2 is also further expanded because the first game was set in a backyard, but this one is going outside.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

Rune Factory: Guardians of Asuma is a new take on Marvelous Entertainment’s Rune Factory series. It is still a farming and dating simulator with action role-playing game (ARPG) combat, but the style is redone to be more expressive. It’s a departure from the original series that leaned more on the cartoon side, and embraces styles similar to modern ARPGs.

Till the soil, plant seeds, speak with the townsfolk, and explore different dungeons. You are the village chief who has to expand your influence with the village folks, and collect Fragments of Terrain to maintain the powers from runes. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma was already released on 5 June 2025 in both digital and physical copies worldwide.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is available on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows via Steam, so it’s also Steam Deck compatible. You can play it now and add it to one of your favourite games on handheld devices besides Bitcasino slots. Explore the wilderness of Azuma and be more familiar with its people.
